Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Acclaimed young adult author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
An official for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at women.
The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
